All-on-4 vs All-on-6 in Turkey: Which Full-Mouth Implant Option Is Right for You?

Short answer: both replace a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge held by implants. All-on-4 uses four implants, with the back two angled to use the strongest bone, so it often avoids bone grafting. All-on-6 uses six implants, spreading your bite over more support, but usually needs more bone. Your 3D scan decides which is right — not the price.

Who full-arch implants are for

Full-arch implants suit people who have lost most of their teeth in one jaw, have teeth that can’t be saved, or are tired of loose dentures. You get a fixed set of teeth that you don’t take out at night.

All-on-4 vs All-on-6 at a glance

All-on-4

  • 4 implants per jaw; the back two are angled

  • Designed for limited bone — grafting is often avoided

  • Often chosen for bone loss at the back or the lower jaw

All-on-6

  • 6 implants per jaw, usually more upright

  • Needs more bone — grafting or a sinus lift is more likely

  • Spreads chewing force over six points; often chosen for the upper jaw, a strong bite or grinding

Neither is better for everyone. The right choice depends on how much bone you have, which jaw is treated and how hard you bite.

How the treatment works

  1. Before you travel: send photos, a recent X-ray and your medical history for an online review.

  2. Trip 1 — about 7 days: 3D CBCT scan in our clinic, any extractions, implant placement, and fixed temporary teeth when your implants are stable enough.

  3. Healing at home — about 3–6 months: the bone bonds to the implants while you live normally.

  4. Trip 2 — about 7 days: we fit your final bridge, check your bite and give you your implant passport.

What the final teeth are made of

The final bridge is usually zirconia or a zirconia-based design — strong enough for chewing and natural-looking. We plan the shape and shade of the teeth as carefully as a smile makeover.

Questions to ask any clinic

  • Which option do you recommend for my jaw, and why?

  • Do I need a bone graft or sinus lift?

  • Will I have fixed temporary teeth after surgery?

  • Which implant brand will you use, and what is the final bridge made of?

  • What happens if one implant doesn’t integrate?

How we do it at Lamis Clinic

We plan every full-arch case on a 3D CBCT scan taken in our Istanbul clinic and use Medigma implants, made by Medigma Biomedical in Germany.

X-rays and 3D scans, hotel, airport and clinic transfers, a translator and patient coordinator, and temporary teeth when your treatment needs them are included in every Lamis dental package. Your dental treatment is protected by our 20-year written guarantee.

Questions patients ask us

Can I get All-on-4 if I’ve been told I don’t have enough bone? Often yes — the angled back implants are designed for that. Your scan will tell us.

Will I leave Istanbul with teeth? That depends on your case. When the implants are stable enough, we fit fixed temporary teeth on the same trip.

How long do full-arch implants last? Implants can last many years with good cleaning and check-ups. The bridge may need maintenance or replacement over time.
